Seems to me if a solution like the GFS happens then it will have very weak steering for a while. Umket has it in the same area also but i don't know if it does all the craizness lol.

Overall, trends have been towards a weaker system and westward. The GFS isn't such a far outlier at this point.

The difference between the Euro and most other models now is where the system consolidates. The Euro still has it a bit North which opens up the NE turn earlier. It is looking like the Euro may now be the outlier in that positioning, though. Cuba comes into play on everything but the Euro.
Beyond Cuba the big difference in the GFS and everything else has to do with a front. There is a front that rolls through southern GA/AL. The GFS has the storm missing that front, which leaves it without great steering. The others (excluding Euro because it doesn't have this solution) have the storm getting swept up by the front.
The GFS solution would be bad news for somewhere, regardless of strength.

I mean at 40” of rain even without major storm surge most areas would be dealing with significant inland flooding.
But if it brings even a moderate storm surge on top of 3’ of rain the entire coast from the panhandle to Mobile would be underwater.
