How accurate is the meteoblue model? ›

The 'stand-alone' (RAW) global weather forecast models perform in the range between 1.7 and 2.2 K. Hence, the 6-day forecast of the meteoblue MultiModel is as good as the 1-day forecast of a 'stand-alone' (RAW) numerical weather forecast model.

Zakynthos: When to Go

The mid-season months of June and September are our favourites; warm weather, and touristy sites like Shipwreck Beach are less crowded. July and August are high season – hot and busy, but you can always cool off with a boat trip.

The temperature in Zakynthos during the low season is around 15°C-17°C in spring and winter and around 20°C in late autumn. Most days are cloudy, there are limited daylight hours and the sea temperature is 16 °C, which means this is not the best time for swimming.

The warmest water temperature is in August with an average around 79.2°F / 26.2°C. The coldest month is February with an average water temperature of 59.7°F / 15.4°C.

Unlike many Greek Islands Zante does not have a water problem but the tap water does have a high mineral content so although safe you may find it preferable to drink bottled water. Always ensure you wear a high factor sun cream and, if possible, stay out of the sun between noon and 3pm, especially in the summer.
