BEST Overripe Banana Recipes

Do you often find yourself with overripe bananas? I do, all the time. We eat so many that I tend to buy huge amounts. And because you can’t buy perfect bananas (they’re usually too green), I have to let them sit and ripen. And then they’re all ripe at the same time and I need to eat 12 bananas or they go bad.

I love putting bananas in baked goods. One, they’re great for breakfast. Two, they’re a great way to get rid of some of the fat. And three? They taste good! If you have some bananas on your counter that are just waiting to be used, check this list.

How to freeze overripe bananas

Have some bananas on your counter that have turned brown spotted? My mom calls them “tired” bananas and they’re perfect for baking.

Don’t feel like baking right now? FREEZE your overripe bananas to make in banana recipes later!

Just pop them in the freezer in their peels. They’ll turn a dark brown color – that’s okay. To thaw, just leave on the counter on a plate. They’ll be mushy when thawed, but cut open the top and squeeze out the banana to make cakes, bread and more.
