Held in either late January or early February the Arizona Balloon Classic is the premier hot air balloon race and festival of Arizona. The skies will be filled with colorful balloons and special shapes on Saturday and Sunday mornings mass ascensions. Then on both Friday & Saturday evenings the field will illuminate with the desert glows, the most attended event of the festival.
The hot air balloon show takes place on the grassy fields of the Goodyear Ballpark including hot air balloon rides, a family fun zone, live entertainment, hot air ballon tethered rides, a retail zone along with the Street FoodFest and a beer garden. The balloon festival is fun for the whole family.

The Eloy Glow Hot Air Balloon Festival is a one day event held in early November. It is a relatively new hot air balloon show that takes place about 50 miles NW of Tuscon. The festival includes static hot air balloons, tethered balloon rides, live music, beer tent, food trucks, inflatables, fireworks and more.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. Children under 10 are free with a paidticket. The event is rain or shine.
5. Colorado River Crossing Hot Air Balloon Festival

The Colorado River Crossing Hot Air Balloon Festival presented by Caballeros de Yuma is one of Arizona’s premier fall events. With Saturday & Sunday morning mass ascensions set over the back drop of the Colorado River and Sonoran Desert, the Yuma, AZ balloon festival is one not to miss.
The festivals most popular event is the Desert Balloon Glow that takes place on Saturday night. The tethered balloons light up the night sky with their burners firing at full blast. It’s mesmerizing as the entire pageant is synchronized to music. And after the glow you can watch an array of fireworks light up the sky again.
